What will be the modern wedding dresses for the year 2019, ask all the ladies who are still facing the most important day in their lives. Famous bridal fashion designers, such as Naeem Kahn, Oscar de la Renta and Vera Wang show us their new collections every year and make fashion surprises again and again. Today we also show you modern wedding gowns and some details of wedding dresses that were on display at Bridal Fashion Week from 4th to 7th October 2018 in New York.
Stunning wedding dresses from Bridal Fashion Week 2018
Modern wedding dresses in nude color and metallic shimmer
White is the color of innocence and purity, which is why it is often synonymous with marriage. However, the designers Vera Wang and Reem Acra presented wedding dresses in skin-colored nuances for the brides who want to create their own tradition. The nude colors are usually provided with metallic details.
Kahn, for example, showed his new collection with plenty of golden sequins and sparkling small broken mirror glasses. So in a nutshell: metal shimmer on wedding dresses is totally in in 2019!
Subtle or oversized loops
Playful loops as a trend
Whether big or small, on straps, waist or back, the loops were seen on all Desinger wedding dresses. These provide a cool touch in our opinion and give a certain romance. Vikor & Rolf decorated some of their so-called "simple" pieces with small and subtle bows. Berta and Carolina Herrera put on delicate and transparent shoulder loops in white. The oversized loops that once again feature on models by Vikor & Rolf, Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera, create a radiant Hollywood look.

Bangs and colorful floral motifs
3D floral motifs
In the last wedding season we have seen subtle hints of floral details as an accent on the bridal gowns. Also this year, the use of floral motifs was at the center of the catwalk and they dominated the carefully crafted wedding dresses. The designer Monique Lhuillier even created a dress with colorful and strong flowers. The 3D floral motifs just look gorgeous.
A great combination between collar and 3D flowers
Corsets will be up to date in 2019 as well
High-necked collar and low cutouts
The deep V-neck goes on next year as a trend. The deep view of the cleavage was also shown in other variations on the catwalk. But the counter trend to this is the high-necked collar, which will also be very trendy. This gives the bridal gown elegance. Such a great example showed Viktor & Rolf in a mini dress, supplemented with embroidered 3D flowers. Gracy Accad presented a more romantic model with a lace collar and short sleeves over a corset.
Other trends from the Bridal Fashion Week 2018 are the opulent princess dresses that are making a comeback, the tiered tulle skirts (symmetrical or not) and striking and dramatically long sleeves. So, there is something for every taste! Combined with the matching accessories you will be the most beautiful and charming bride!
We wish you a wonderful wedding anniversary and endless family happiness!
